February Reading

Oh my gosh, I forgot to post our February books...So since March arrives tomorrow, I will just do a quick post of our valentine books that we enjoyed reading this month.
For Tovrea, The Ballad of Valentine by Alison Jackson~
Valentine has a secret admirer, and while she works hard doing her daily chores, he works hard trying to get her attention.  The story is sweet and you find yourself hoping his message will eventually reach his beloved Valentine.  Here is a favorite section, one of the many different ways of trying to get his message to Valentine ~

"Oh my darling,
Oh my darling,
Oh my darling Valentine.
I have written forty letters,
But you've never read a line.

Paid a rider on a pony,
But his filly wouldn't mind.
Bucked him clear to Arizona,
Where he's now been reassigned."

For Quin, Be My Valentine Peter Rabbit, ends with the book actually saying, "I love you."  Super cute!

For CoCo, Fancy Nancy Loves, Loves, Loves is a reusable sticker book based on the books by Jane O"Connor. This book has provided lots of enjoyment right before rest time, it keeps her in her bed...a very nice thing for Mama!
