I jumped up, "What did you do?" I shouted...and as I turned the corner into the bathroom I saw the scissors...OH NO!!! I knew it was bad...and then I saw the pile..and I mean, handful pile of hair in the trashcan.
I know, kids do this...I have heard the stories from countless other moms. I have even been in the hair salon (before I had a little girl) and seen another mom come in just after her daughter did the same thing. I know it will grow back.... it's just shocking to see all that hair.
And then the tears came...I even had to fight to hold back my own. When she realized how shocked I was, and by this time the whole family was in the bathroom giving input, the tears were coming because she wanted to look pretty and no one supported her...she was crushed. We hugged for a long time. I told her that even though I was disappointed she cut her own hair she would always be pretty to me!
And yes...I grabbed the camera. This was one of those events I just had to document.... this is what I saw:

ReplyDeleteDid you cut her hair after Coco's own haircut, Rach? If you did, maybe you should cut mine too! :-) I need to have my hair shaped too, but the very few times I've gone to a Hair Salon, I end up disappointed.
Anyway Coco, no harm done after all and you still look very pretty to all of us!
