Nature Walk

Ah! We finally warmed up! Today we got out for our January nature walk, no where special, just in our back alley. The kids were so excited after being cooped up for days that it really did not matter where we were.
We took our journals, binoculars, magnifying tool, and the camera, of course.  We focused on our senses...what could we see, hear, smell, touch and yes, even taste!

Tovrea was in charge of the phenology charts.  Learning today that phenology is the study of the seasonal timing of life cycle events:
